Patent Agent / Patent Attorney — Pittsburgh, PA

A national law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Agent or Patent Attorney to join its Pittsburgh office. This role involves preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, coordinating foreign prosecution, and advising clients on patent strategy.
Qualifications:
3+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience; 5+ preferred
USPTO registration required
Electrical Engineering degree strongly preferred
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related degrees considered
Mechanical Engineering candidates should have substantial electrical technology experience
Strong technical, writing, and analytical skills
Responsibilities include conducting inventor interviews, drafting applications, responding to Office Actions, and independently managing patent matters while collaborating with clients and colleagues. Prior law firm experience is preferred.
